Power Apps

Community plan:


PowerApps Community Plan gives you access to PowerApps premium functionalities, Common Data Service,
and Microsoft Flow for individual use. This plan is primarily meant for learning purposes or creating business
solutions to be distributed for AppSource Test Drive. This plan is perpetually available, but only for learning and
building your skills on PowerApps, Common Data Services, and Microsoft Flow.

It can run unlimited number of apps
We can use common data service
Connect to Office 365, Dynamics 365
User premium connectors like Salesforce, DB2
Access on premises date using on premises gate way
Cloud environments like Azure, SQL, Dropbox, Twitter
Can create custom connectors

User roles and access permissions: You can't add co-workers as environment makes and admins
Add co-workers to the database roles

Recommended upgrade plan PowerApps plan 2

PowerApps Plan 2 Trial gives you PowerApps Plan 2 for 30 days. This is meant for trying out PowerApps,
Common Data Service, and Microsoft Flow. Once your trial expires, you can purchase a plan. If you are already
using PowerApps with Office 365 or Dynamics 365, this is the right plan to try out the premium functionalities of

PowerApps, which are available with PowerApps Plan 2.

Power Apps, We have two types to know.
1. Canvas apps
2. Model driven apps

1. Canvas apps: Canvas apps are something that can build user interface and provide more controls for UI.
these apps can be accessed via Power Apps mobile app from playstore or through web browser

2. Model driven apps: These apps are in rich to implement dashboards, chart, forms, views and business process altogether.
these apps can be accessed via Dynamics 365 mobile app or through web browser via dynamics 365 homepage. https://home.dynamics.com/
We can automate the process using the microsoft flows

Microsoft Teams:

Canvas apps can connect to SharePoint online page using powerapps webpart. Then users can run the power app using SharePoint online page.

Powerapps can also integrate with Microsoft teams which is chat based collaborative platform built on O365 technology.
Step 1: Open microsoft teams, Go to business development -> General
Step 2: Click on create tab (+) icon
Step 3: Add a tab, choose power app
Step 4: Choose any power app which has available listed, example choosen sample app-> Product showcase->Save


App Source (Dynamics 365):

The apps that you built and published power apps are discovered and used in Dynamics 365 on the web.
Microsoft AppSource is now embedded in Dynamics 365 homepage through out the navigation.
It now includes private gallery of available to you with your company.

Model driven apps: A model driven apps has multiple components include dashboard, forms, views, charts and business processes that together help make apps easy to use.  We can also automate the apps with business case using flows.
